Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Driver to cover Tar Heel, NC and surrounding areas. This role features no-touch freight, predictable routes, and home time 3–4 times per week when customers require it.

Expect about 1,500 miles weekly, 12‑hour shifts, and evening start times. You may stay out overnight once per week and must be available on weekends and holidays to meet customer needs. Office staff and maintenance are on site to support operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Willing to work night shifts, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver no-touch freight on semi-local routes within ~300 miles of Tar Heel, NC
• Maintain safe driving practices and on-time deliveries
• Schedule includes 12-hour shifts with evening starts (3:00 PM–11:00 PM)
• Occasional overnight stays up to once per week; home 3–4 times weekly
• Support from office staff and maintenance on site
