Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Route Driver in Iowa to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck, collecting animal mortalities, fat, bone, or grease as assigned by location. You will perform safety checks, maintain logs, and ensure clean, accurate paperwork and customer interactions.

The role requires a CDL A with tanker endorsements, clean driving record, and ability to lift heavy loads. Benefits include 401(k) and health/dental/vision coverage with paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL A license with tanker endorsements and clean driving record.
• Registered on the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects raw material at pickup for foreign or hazardous material.
• Loads grease containers as required and secures them after use.
• Maintains an Electronic DOT log with accurate entries.
• Provides customer with receipts and gets management signature.
• Operates and maintains company vehicle according to regulations and policy.
• Completes daily vehicle condition reports and follows safety rules.
• Maintains excellent customer relations through professional service.
• Completes route tickets and daily service forms.
• Works on assigned route and attends safety meetings.
