Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. seeks a Route Driver to operate semi-trucks or vacuum trucks, collecting animal mortalities, fat, bone, or grease from customer locations. You will ensure proper handling, safety, and accurate route tickets.

You must hold a CDL A with tanker endorsements, maintain a clean MVR, and log electronic DOT records. The role requires travel to various plant locations and flexibility for nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A with tanker endorsements and clean MVR; must be 21+ and registered on FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Prior route experience in a customer-oriented environment preferred; ability to work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects raw material at pickup for foreign or hazardous materials.
• Pumps or loads grease containers when plant location requires; ensure cleanliness and proper documentation.
• Maintain an Electronic DOT log and complete route tickets with customer signature.
• Operate vehicle per company policy and applicable regulations; perform safety checks.
• Provide receipts to customers and obtain management signature; maintain vehicle in clean condition.
• Travel frequently to off-site locations and maintain professional customer relations.
