Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company, a leading multi-state distributor of food and beverage, invites a route driver to join our Transportation team at North Little Rock, AR.

You will perform product deliveries along assigned routes, inspect vehicle equipment, assemble orders, and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries. Candidates must know DOT/FMCSR, have at least 1 year route driving experience, possess a valid State Class A CDL, and demonstrate excellent communication, math, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• DOT and FMCSR knowledge required.
• At least 1 year of route driving experience.
• DOT certification required.
• State Class A CDL license required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with prioritization.
• Ability to learn proprietary software.

Responsibilities

• Perform product deliveries along assigned routes.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies and request service as needed.
• Assemble and deliver orders with accurate delivery windows.
• Place delivered products in storage locations per requests.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product and prevent damage.
• Communicate problems to Transportation Supervisor by phone.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal directions.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritization of time and resources.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Complete administrative tasks and related paperwork.
• Review customer invoices to determine items to be moved and delivered.
• Report mechanical problems, delays or incidents.
