Job summary

TOMRA in Bristol, CT is hiring a CDL-A Route Driver. You will drive on a primary route, deliver and pick up goods, load and unload cargo, and maintain strong customer relations on the go. Home daily with a 6:00 am start and overtime possibilities. Paid training and year-round work are provided.

Requirements include a CDL-A, satisfactory driving record, and ability to lift 25–60 lbs. Use of smartphones or similar handheld devices is expected.

Qualifications

• CDL-A driving experience required.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift 25–60 lbs.
• Familiarity with handheld devices or willingness to learn.
• Experience in client relations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, receives and provides documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Loads, secures and unloads cargo.
• Maintains contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintain customer relations while on route.
• Lifting 25-50lbs at a time while loading and unloading trucks
• Use of handheld device to track inventory and client relations.
