Qualifications

Overview

CDL-A - Regional Van Truckload truck driver role at Schneider. Regional routes with predictable power lanes and a high volume of freight. 95% no-touch, mostly drop-and-hook freight. Dispatched in advance for improved planning. Drive within the Eastern 37 states. Home time every other week.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a Regional Van Truckload driver within the Eastern 37 states.
• Utilize predictable power lanes with a high volume of freight.
• Maintain 95% no-touch, mostly drop-and-hook freight where applicable.
• Work with advance dispatch for better planning and scheduling.
• Achieve maximum drive time with consistent freight and reduced downtime.

Pay and Bonus Potential

• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty (not driving).
• Weekly performance pay.
• Sign-on bonus: $6,000 for experienced drivers, paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year.
• Sign-on bonus: $3,000 for inexperienced drivers, paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year.
• Mileage incentive: potential to receive a $0.02/mile increase based on weekly miles and goals.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 holidays per year.
• Annual bonus: up to 2% of annual gross pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (if interested in company-paid CDL training).
• HazMat endorsement preferred.
• Passport, FAST card or Enhanced CDL opens more opportunities.
