Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Elgin, IL. The role offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits after 30 days, paid training, and a path to grow within a large logistics network.

You will run regional routes delivering to IL & WI with various equipment types and a mix of touch/no touch freight. The position emphasizes safety, training, and real-time support from a nationwide maintenance network.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide Class A CDL and endorsements for the position.
• 9 months experience in past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
