Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Columbus, OH for a regional route with home weekly. Company pays weekly and offers paid training, uniforms and boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match. Expect PTO from day one and benefits after 30 days, with maternity leave and other employee discounts.

Dispatch usually Sunday–Thursday, start times vary. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and safe loading/unloading as required.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
