Job summary

Small Potato Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Regional Hazmat Driver for Laredo, TX. You will haul palletized auto batteries on regional routes to Phoenix, AZ and back, earning $27.50 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and weekly home time.

This position requires a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire, a valid Class A CDL, and at least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience. Benefits include health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire
• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Must be at least 22 years old
• Clean driving record
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire
• Must meet English-language requirements for communication, reading traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Must be able to safely operate liftgate equipment and electric pallet jacks

Responsibilities

• Regional dry van operation hauling auto batteries
• Transport palletized batteries and pick up returned battery cores
• Deliver freight using an electric pallet jack
• Operate late-model Freightliner tractors with liftgate trailers
