Job Description

Ryder is hiring a CDL A Regional Dry Van Driver in Hanover Township, PA. A regional driver can anticipate quality home time with family and friends while usually being home through the week and/or on weekends or a combination of both. A regional truck driving job typically consists of moving freight within a region that encompasses the surrounding areas. Compensation:

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,700+
    • 68.5 CPM with 1,800 miles per week
    • Borough Trip Pay: $65.00 per Trip
    • Stop pay: $22.55 per stop with 20 stops per week
    • Per Diem Pay: $40.00 per night per layover
  • Sign on bonus: $2,000- $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Time: overnights required weekly, stay in Ryder booked hotel
    • Home weekends, out 2-3 nights per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • Route: CT, MA, ME, RI, MD, VA, NY, OH, and NJ (including 5 boroughs)
  • Touch freight – hardware products
    • Manual and Electric Pallet Jack, Ryder will train you on all equipment

Equipment:

  • Trucks are 3 years or newer
  • Sleeper
  • 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
    • Ryder will reimburse cost and provide training
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Hanover Township, PA
