Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a NAPA Private Fleet CDL A Regional Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer with a sleeper bunk, delivering automotive parts regionally between DCs, stores, and other locations. This role emphasizes home every weekend with scheduled time out, no touch freight, and dedicated routes.

The position offers paid safety and orientation training, quarterly safety bonuses, and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 23 years of age.
• Current valid CDL Class A with HazMat endorsement.
• At least 2 years of CDL experience.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate tablets, computers & ELDs.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight regionally for short or long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Perform required inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment regularly, and document and refer defects/repairs to manager and maintenance representative.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Accurately document and log work/rest periods in company assigned ELD.
• Safely load and unload all equipment/materials when needed and properly secure all loads.
• Understands and follows manifests, bills of lading and other shipping documents to determine delivery timing and location.
• Perform duties in accordance with company policies and FMCSA/DOT regulations for CMV operation.
• Complete necessary paperwork including shipping and billing documents and maintain records.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Operations regarding movements, equipment issues, delays, etc.
• Maintain tractors in a professional look and condition.
• Represent the Company professionally.
• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
