Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking dedicated Regional Class A Delivery Drivers to join our private fleet in Berks and Lehigh County areas. Average first-year starting salary is $100,000 per year plus expenses paid, with a $2,500 sign-on/retention bonus.

Routes are designed to keep you home every weekend and potentially multiple times during the week. Responsibilities include overnight travel 3-5 nights per week, operating diesel tractors, delivering and picking up freight, and

Responsibilities

• Overnight travel 3-5 nights per week.
• Operate a diesel tractor-trailer (up to 80,000 lbs GVW) or smaller.
• Deliver and pick up freight while engaging with customers.
• Comply with DOT and FMCSA regulations and hours of service.
• Log hours using an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.
• Operate safely with onboard safety features.
• Complete company paperwork (manifests, bills of lading, etc.).
• Load/unload freight using electric pallet jacks, liftgates, or dry vans.

Salary ranges are determined by mileage, stops, and return products.

Responsibilities

• Overnight travel required 3-5 nights per week.
• Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination (up to 80,000 lbs GVW) or smaller vehicles when required.
• Deliver and pick up freight while engaging with customers to ensure outstanding service.
• Comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations, including hours of service and vehicle inspections.
• Accurately log hours using an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.
• Operate vehicles safely and legally, utilizing all onboard safety features.
• Complete company paperwork (manifests, bills of lading, claims, trip reports).
• Load/unload freight using electric pallet jacks, liftgates, or dry vans.
• All trips are scheduled with return loads.

Qualifications

Required

• Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to meet DOT requirements.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Literate with good communication and math skills.
• Customer focused professionalism.

Preferred

• Endorsements for Air Brakes and Hazmat (endorsements not required prior to employment but obtainment required during probationary period) Training provided.
