Job summary

Albany Trucking in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a full-time CDL-A truck driver for regional LTL freight with no-touch loads and weekly home time. Expect about 2,500 miles per week on established lanes and dependable dispatch support to keep you moving.

You will operate modern sleeper tractors (2021 or newer Freightliner or Kenworth) and enjoy consistent schedules, paid orientation, and overtime opportunities. Valid CDL-A and at least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience required.

Driving Overview

Freight primarily runs east of I-35 with no NYC routes, while occasional loads move throughout the lower 48 states to help maintain year-round freight availability. Drivers average approximately 2,500 miles per week with average haul lengths around 700 miles, providing productive runs across established regional lanes.

No-touch freight allows drivers to spend more time driving and less time waiting at customer facilities, helping keep dispatch schedules on track.

Equipment You'll Drive

Operate a 2021 or newer Freightliner or Kenworth sleeper tractor built for comfort, reliability, and long-haul performance. Depending on parking availability and location, some drivers may have the option to take their truck home.

Pay & Home Time

Earn $1,450–$1,650 per week
