Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-first Company Driver for local pneumatic routes. You’ll haul powdered cement on regional lanes, with home daily schedules and a pay structure that rewards safe, experienced drivers.

Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, with a 90-day increase to 28%. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, a 401(k), paid vacations, and holidays. Trucks are equipped for comfort and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight and specialized cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat handling procedures.
• Maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills, collect signatures, and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean.
