Job summary

Universal Logistics in Detroit, MI is seeking Local CDL-A Shuttle Drivers to join the team. This union position offers home daily, steady freight, and a predictable schedule.

Responsibilities include safely transporting materials between terminal and customer locations, adhering to delivery schedules, and performing pre- and post-trip inspections while maintaining DOT compliance. OT is available after 40 hours, with day shifts typically from 5am onward.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Clean driving record with strong safety history.
• Able to meet DOT requirements.
• Union position with Teamsters Local 299.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations.
• Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
