Job summary

American Tank Lines is seeking experienced CDL-A Owner-Operators to join our liquid bulk tanker fleet in Leesburg, FL. You’ll operate a provided tanker trailer on primarily Southern routes, with weekly settlements, and all maintenance handled by ATL.

We offer 100% of fuel surcharge and fuel discounts passed through, no trailer rental fees, and consistent year-round freight from repeat customers. Typical lanes run Florida to Texas with flexible home time.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience
• Experience hauling non-hazardous liquid bulk preferred
• TWIC card required
• Ability to stay out 2–3 weeks at a time
• Live within reasonable driving distance of Leesburg, FL

Responsibilities

• Haul non-hazardous liquid bulk freight (e.g., used cooking oil, molasses, glycerin) using a provided tanker trailer.
• Operate and maintain tanker equipment in coordination with ATL.
• Coordinate with dispatch for routes primarily across the Southern U.S. (FL to TX).

We offer consistent, year-round freight, primarily Southern routes, and a straightforward partnership with a family-owned trucking company. We provide the tanker trailer and cover its maintenance and tires, allowing you to focus on operating your truck and earning revenue.

• $250,000–$350,000 Annual Gross Revenue Potential.

Routes & Home Time:

• Primarily Southern Routes — Florida to Texas.
• No NYC or Canada routes.
• No regular northern winter routes.
• Flexible home time.
• Typically 2–3 weeks out.

What You'll Haul:

We specialize in non-hazardous liquid bulk freight, including:

• Used cooking oil.
• Molasses.
• Glycerin.
• Other non-hazardous liquid bulk products.

Loads may require hoses, pumping equipment, and driver-assisted loading or unloading.

No HAZMAT endorsement required.

Owner-Operator Requirements:

• Own a reliable, road-ready Class 8 tractor.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience
• Tanker or liquid bulk hauling experience required.
• Current TWIC card.
• Minimum age of 25.
• Willing to stay out 2–3 weeks at a time.
• No preventable accidents within the past 5 years.
• No moving violations within the past 3 years.
• Must meet ATL insurance and DOT requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb tanker ladders.
• Live within a reasonable driving distance of Leesburg, Florida.
