Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking delivery drivers to support America’s food distribution system. The role involves operating tractor trailers or straight trucks, overnight routes, and interstate travel to deliver and unload products for customers.

Requirements include valid CDL A, 21+ years old, 6+ months driving experience, and DOT health card; background checks and wage details are provided. Overnight shifts and 4- or 5-day work weeks are possible.

Qualifications

• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally to answer questions.
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization.
• Performs safety checks and inspections according to DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Reports safety hazards and inspects trailers for proper loading and security.
• Delivers customer orders on schedule and unloads freight.
• Completes required paperwork and daily logs.
