Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Smyrna, Tennessee is seeking a Class A driver for over-the-road (OTR) routes. Applicants will operate reefer or dry van trailers based on preference, ensuring safety and compliance on every run. With a pay structure that includes up to $0.86 CPM, weekly earnings can average around $2,700.

The position allows for home time options such as 2 weeks out with 2 days home or 3 weeks out with 4 days home. All safety protocols are prioritized and pets are welcome from day one.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of verifiable OTR experience.
• No DUI/DWI or SAP history.
• Maximum of 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.

Job Description

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on OTR routes, running reefer or dry van freight based on your preference
• Maintain accurate logs and stay compliant with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your permanently assigned truck
• Communicate with dispatch to confirm routes and delivery windows
• Secure freight properly and handle it with care during transit
• Follow all safety protocols on the road and at delivery points

Pay Structure

• Reefer: 0.81 to 0.86 CPM, average weekly take home $2,700
• Dry van: 0.76 to 0.81 CPM, average weekly take home $2,400
• 3,200 plus miles per week
• All miles paid, empty and loaded, no exceptions
• $150 layover pay
• $25 per hour detention pay after 2 hours

Route

• Governed at 72 MPH

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI or SAP history

• No reckless driving or violations of 15 MPH or more over the speed limit
• Maximum of 8 jobs in the past 3 years
• Standard DOT urine test only, no hair follicle testing
