Job Description

QXO is hiring a CDL A or B Local Flatbed Driver in Louisville, KY. The driver will deliver building materials to our customers in a safe and efficient manner. Compensation

• Competitive hourly wages with a minimum of 40 hours a week

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Schedule: Monday– Friday, no nights or weekends
• Shift: Day shift with start time of 6:30 am, with a 10-12 hour shift
• Route: Deliveries within 2 hours of Louisville, KY
• Touch-loads must be strapped down; warehouse loads; driver may be asked to support with sit-down forklift

Equipment

• Flat-bed with Moffett, Boom/Crane
• Automatic and manual transmission
• GPS
• Governed Speed: 67 mph
• Electronic logbook

Responsibilities:

• Driver must always put safety first and wear appropriate PPE
• Pre-inspect truck, load with materials, and verify load for accuracy
• Set up job perimeters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to unload
• Communicate regularly with dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at the job site
• Report potential on-site hazards to branch management
• Keep logbook up-to-date at all times
• Adhere to safety policies and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a CDL A or B license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience driving a commercial motor vehicle
  • Highly preferred: handling building materials, forklift experience
• Hazmat Endorsement is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. as necessary
• No recent convictions or offenses related to DUI, DWI, careless or reckless driving, or suspensions/revocations from these violations
• No more than two violations or incidents (excluding parking violations) in the past 3 years
• Meet DOT testing and physical requirements; knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Prefer working in a team but comfortable working independently
• Hiring radius: within 45 miles of Louisville, KY or willing to relocate
