Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a professional Truck Driver for the Moses Lake area. This role covers safe transport and delivery of products in various forms, requiring adherence to FMCSA and DOT standards while supporting overnight operations.

Typical duties include pre/post-trip inspections, proper log keeping, and efficient loading/unloading practices. A valid Class A CDL with endorsements and DOT medical certification are required, with a minimum two years of CDL experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL Truck Driver School.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating commercial vehicles under a CDL-A license.

Responsibilities

• Always maintain conscientiousness for safety while driving, as well as performing all other duties.
• Must complete all Truck Driver Training and Development Programs.
• Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable.
• Haul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices.
• Inspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills.
• Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas.
• Maintains electronic driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenance.
