Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver to support our Harahan, LA area operations. The role involves early morning dispatch from 2am to 6am, five days a week with rotational Saturdays, and delivering food products to customers while upholding safety and DOT compliance.

You will inspect, load, unload, and document deliveries, ensuring accurate invoices and secure freight. 21+ years old, clean MVR, and post-offer drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months commercial driving
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• DOT Health Card or able to secure one
• Able to lift/move freight of varying size and weight

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers
• Drive tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate/interstate routes
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT regulations
• Deliver orders on schedule and obtain customer signatures
• Unload products and manage paperwork related to freight
• Complete daily hours of service records and keep areas clean
