Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Driver CDL A - Mobile Storage to safely deliver, set up, and pick up storage containers, ground-level offices, and office trailers using company trucks.

This role represents the company at customer sites and requires accurate documentation, adherence to safety and DOT requirements, and reliable collaboration with dispatch. You will perform vehicle inspections, secure units on site, interact professionally with customers, and support yard operations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of DOT regulated driving experience.
• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record meeting DOT standards.
• Ability to perform physical work, including climbing, lifting, and use of tools for set-up and leveling.
• Commitment to safe work practices, quality service, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Clear DOT drug test history.
• Knowledge of GVW's, state regulations regarding height and weight maximums.
• Knowledge of winch operations, HAZMAT transport, placarding.
• HAZMAT endorsement/OSHA familiarity/training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set, and pick up storage containers and office units using roll off or tilt bed equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintain logs.
• Block, level, and secure units onsite per requirements.
• Interact professionally with customers on job sites and confirm placement.
• Follow OSHA and DOT safety standards and handling procedures.
• Assist in the yard or shop with cleaning, inspecting, organizing, and minor repairs.
• Coordinate delivery and pickup with branch operations and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle appearance and service standards.
