CDL-A Local Truck Driver - Overnights - 11 pm - 7 am Warehouse
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible for transporting goods using box and/or tractor-trailer trucks. Operate various material handling equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks, in a safe manner.
- Transport goods between company locations.
- Maintain Trip Log according to state and federal regulations and submit to the office monthly for record retention. Perform truck and trailer inspections as required by law. Report safety or equipment concerns immediately. Report incidents/accidents promptly.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks/trailers for intercompany and over-the-road transport.
- Physically receive and transfer materials to designated storage locations (production, warehouse, line side, etc.).
- Ensure safe operation of Tractor, Box Truck, and Material Handling equipment, including safety checks, PPE, and compliance with organizational protocols.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages to Lead Material Handlers.
- Assist with inventory activities such as counting, physical inventories, cycle counts, and spot checks. Consolidate stock as needed.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, incorporating 5S principles.
THE ENVIRONMENT
- Adhere to safety procedures at all times, including wearing safety glasses, steel-toe or composite shoes, and hearing protection when necessary.
- Work in a 24/7 facility with multiple shifts, including rotating 12-hour shifts (2/2/3 schedule) and 8-hour shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am).
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting and machinery operation, with training provided.
Your Profile
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience necessary.
- CDL-A license required.
- Basic math skills; forklift experience preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. No sponsorship available.
