Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking Local CDL-A shuttle drivers in Detroit, MI. Earn $21.00–$24.25 per hour with home daily routes, consistent schedules, and a union position under Teamsters Local 299.

First shift; 8–9 hours; OT after 40 hours; light touch freight; 2–3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations. Responsibilities include safe transport, pre/post inspections, DOT compliance, and coordinating with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and DOT compliance.
• Clean driving record with strong safety history.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials between terminal and customer locations.
• Follow delivery schedules based on customer production needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations teams.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.
