US 1 Shorthaul is hiring a CDL A Local Shuttle and Yard Driver in Rialto, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role involves yard operations, shuttle moves, and daily home time. The position requires 18+ months of over-the-road or yard experience, with clean safety and DOT records.

Expect a salary of $26.00–$27.00 per hour and benefits including health, vision, and 401(k). Drop-and-hook operations only with no freight handling and no OTR work.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating a two‑way radio.
• Ability to read and apply safety rules and operating instructions.
• Strong English communication skills; able to read English manuals.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock using yard goats.
• Maneuver truck and trailer safely in busy environments.
• Inspect equipment for faults and damages.
• Ensure compliance with weight restrictions and guidelines.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and log reports.
• Maintain activity logs and safety records.
• Identify safety hazards in the yard.
• Willingness to handle other duties as assigned.
