CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Good Pay + $10K Bonus | Home Daily

Earn $83,000 per year hauling intermodal freight between Toledo-area rail yards and customers within a 250-mile radius. This home-daily position offers evening starts, online orientation, a $10,000 bonus, and additional pay for qualifying hazmat and border-crossing loads.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,600
• Bonus: $10,000
• Miles/Week: Approximately 1,100
• Hazmat load pay: $25 per load
• Border crossing pay: $75 per round trip

Job Details

• Haul rail freight between the Toledo and North Baltimore, Ohio, rail yards and customers within a 250-mile radius.
• Freight may include routes to the Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati markets, Michigan, and limited Canada freight.
• Haul general commodities, including food-grade products.
• Approximately 40–50% of freight may consist of pork or pork derivatives.
• Minimal alcohol freight may be available.
• No-touch freight.
• Operates as a 24/7 account.
• Hauls 53-foot containers.
• Slip seating is required.

Shift Details

• Tuesday–Saturday schedule
• Start times between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM
• Fleet averages approximately 10-hour shifts, with some shifts reaching 12 hours
• Multiple shift options may be available at hiring; drivers must remain flexible
• Home daily
• Holiday work may be available if the rail yard is operating

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• No SAP drivers
• Hazmat endorsement required within 180 days of hire
• Tanker endorsement required within 180 days of hire
• Endorsement costs may be reimbursed with receipts
• Passport or FAST Pass required for drivers covering Canada freight; reimbursement available
• Passengers and pets are not permitted
