Local CDL-A Intermodal Night Driver — Home Daily

If you are looking to pull local containers and sleep in your own bed after every single shift, we have an immediate opening on our dedicated intermodal night fleet running. You'll handle regional runs across Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana—giving you steady, high-mileage work while keeping you home daily.

What You'll Make

Weekly Earnings: Drivers on this account average between $1,200 and $1,400 gross per week.

Starting Base Pay: $0.62 per mile.

Load Pay: An extra $20.00 for every load you pull.

Extra Shift Differentials:

Night Premium: Earn an extra $0.06 per mile (Monday through Friday, 7 PM to 4 AM).

Weekend Premium: Earn an extra $0.12 per mile (Friday 7 PM through Monday 4 AM).

The Route & The Work

The Runs: You will pull containers out of the Chicago rail yards, servicing local and regional loops across IL, WI, MI, IA, and IN.

Freight Handling: Mostly heavy drop-and-hook operations at night, though you will also handle some live loads and unloads.

The Realities: You will be running through standard Chicago traffic and making some out-of-state turns, but your routes are structured so you are always home daily.

Your Schedule & Home Time

Home Time: 100% Home Daily. You complete your runs and reset at home every single day.

The Shift: This is a dedicated Night Shift position.

The Cadence: Weekend work is standard on this account to keep the pipeline moving.

Holidays: You will only be expected to work holidays if they fall on your normally scheduled dispatch days.
