Salt City Trucking is hiring a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver for a dedicated local route within 250 miles with daily home time. Earn $90,000–$100,000 average annual gross, plus weekly pay of about $1,750–$1,950 and strong stop-pay opportunities.

Most deliveries to NYC boroughs and Long Island include pallet-jack unloading and occasional off-account work. Daily home time, early start around 3:00 AM, and 6th day available for extra earnings.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months truck driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to unload freight with an electric pallet jack.
• Strong customer service skills.
• No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dry groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers within 250 miles.
• 80–90% of deliveries are to NYC boroughs and Long Island.
• Additional coverage across NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA, and upstate NY.
• 2–3 stops per trailer on average.
• Usually one long load per day, with a short second load when hours permit.
• Return products and backhauls as needed.
• Driver unloads when required using an electric pallet jack.
• Liftgate trailers used for NYC deliveries.
• Support other local accounts as needed.

Earn $90,000–$100,000 average annual gross pay on a dedicated local grocery route with daily home time, consistent starts, and strong stop-pay opportunities.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,750–$1,950
• $85/day when all 5 scheduled days are worked
• $17.25/stop for shipper/receiver load or unload
• $30/stop for driver unload or liftgate stops
• $47.50/stop for NYC borough deliveries
• $15/hour safety training
• $160–$450 for off-account work
• 6th day available for additional earnings

• Thu–Mon or split days off with Sun/Wed off
• Start around 3:00 AM
• 6th day available for extra earnings
• Holiday work may be required when scheduled
• Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's work are not guaranteed
