Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• 1–2 years of commercial driving experience with relevant cargo preferred.

• Successful completion of a road test required.
• Ability to meet FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse requirements.
• Knowledge of FMCSA driver qualifications and regulations.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills required.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with supervisors, customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles with GVWR over 26,001 lbs to deliver or pick up goods locally.
• May drive and perform safety-related duties for smaller vehicles as needed.
• Follow safety procedures for securing cargo and loading/unloading.
• Safely maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Use an electronic logging device to log daily activities as required.
• Report traffic incidents, accidents, or vehicle damage.
• Read bills of lading and manifests for assignment details.
• Ensure all load documents are complete and accurate; obtain receipts as required.
