Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver in Cedar Rapids, IA. Starting pay is $30.00 per hour with a six-figure annual potential including benefits and career growth opportunities.

The role requires morning starts, Monday through Friday, and a $4,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Drivers deliver food and related products to customers, adhere to DOT regulations, and are the face of the company on the road.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and timely.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspects tractor/truck and trailer to DOT standards.
• Reports all safety issues and necessary repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Delivers and unloads products to customers according to route schedule.
• Verifies delivery with customers and obtains signatures.
• Loads returns and secures trailer doors and equipment.
• Completes hours-of-service by the book and keeps area tidy and safe.
