Job summary

You will transport, load/unload freight between service centers and customers, perform inspections, document processes, read shipping papers, and comply with safety procedures. Must have Class A CDL with HazMat/Tank, DOT card, and pass drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years commercial driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsements.
• Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card required.
• Fluent in English and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a drug screen and maintain safety on the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer.
• Document all freight control processes accurately.
• Read maps, road signs, shipping papers, and hazardous materials markings.
• Affix placards to tractor/trailer when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle and equipment.
• Assist customers with shipping papers and loading as needed.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Operate forklift to unload/load as indicated and required.
• Participate in Dayton Freight training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular schedules and shifts.
