Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years of age.
• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload freight between service centers and customers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer.
• Document freight control processes.
• Read maps, road signs, shipping papers, and hazardous materials markings.
• Affix placards to tractor/trailer when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.
• Assist customers in preparing shipping papers.
• Interact with external/internal customers.
• Safely operate a forklift to load/unload when indicated.
• Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular work schedules and alternating shifts.
• Follow the Driver/Dockworker Manual procedures.
