Job Description

Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations, usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading of trailers utilizing the same techniques, technology, and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Responsibilities

1. Load and unload cargo.
2. Operate a forklift as needed.
3. Exercise independent judgment regarding the building and tearing down of the trailer to utilize time, resources, energy, and physical demands effectively and efficiently, while complying with all weight distribution laws.
4. Complete routine paperwork effectively, and properly log loading sheets.
5. Other duties, as assigned.
6. Perform various tasks ranging from check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and the pickup and delivery of cargo.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma / GED

Experience: 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for less than 1 year experience)

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Availability to work varied shifts including days, nights, and weekends as required by the location.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements with no automatic restrictions.

Compensation: Hourly, paid weekly. Starting at 100% union scale wage day 1 for eligible candidates applying before 6/30/25.
