Job summary

Velocity TruckingPros LLC is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver for grocery freight with home daily time. Expect average pay around $1,500 per week, with top earners at $1,800+ weekly and extra unload/stop pay.

Routes cover OH, IN, KY (most in OH). You will have 2 days off weekly, 70% drop-and-hook, 30% driver unload, and 200–300 miles per day. Dry van with occasional reefer; include slip-seat day cabs.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• Minimum 3 months of CDL-A experience within the last 3 years.
• Clean MVR and clean background.
• Must live in Monroe hiring area (ZIP 45044).

Responsibilities

• Deliver grocery freight throughout OH, IN, and KY; most routes stay in OH.
• Home daily.
• 2 full days off each week.
• 70% drop & hook; 30% driver unload using an electric pallet jack.
• Average 3–5 loads and 5–7 stops daily.
• Around 200–300 miles per day.
• Slip-seat day cabs; dry van freight with occasional reefer; switch between dry van and reefer as needed.

What You'll Earn

• Average $1,500 per week
• Top earners average $1,800+ weekly
• Up to $0.62 CPM based on verified experience
• $37 unload pay
• $20 stop pay
• $20 backhaul pay
• $25 pallet restack pay
• Paid ride-along training at $100/day

The Job

You'll deliver grocery freight throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, with most routes staying in Ohio.

• Home daily

• Drivers may switch between dry van and reefer freight when needed

Schedule

• Assigned start time between 11:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Afternoon and evening runs
• Weekend work required
• Holiday weeks, including the week before a holiday, are mandatory

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of CDL-A experience within the last 3 years
• Must live within the Monroe hiring area (ZIP 45044)
• Personal transportation to and from the DC
• Clean MVR
• Clean background
• Professional driving record
• Not SAP Friendly
