This position will be working out of Vista, California.

Job Profile Summary

This role involves running daily delivery routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at each stop as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate within a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empties to the lot. Occasional assistance with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical, customer relations, and personnel aspects of major programs and projects.
• Execute routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding scheduled times.
• Unload products from trailers using hand carts or by hand, placing items in designated storage areas, often in various weather conditions.
• Lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, frequently reaching up to 72” for stacking pallets.
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
• Report any delivery issues, such as shorts, to management.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Operate company equipment properly, follow safety rules, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift, push, or move 40-60 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds as needed.
• Flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer delivery experience.
• At least 6 months of experience with hand carts or hand trucks.
• Experience in Food and Beverage industry preferred.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
