CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver - Paducah, KY

We are seeking a CDL A licensed driver to join our team in Paducah, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating daily delivery routes, making frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at each stop as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The role involves working within a cross-dock model, which includes picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks to the lot. Occasional assistance with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties may be required.

Responsibilities include:

1. Running efficient routes that meet or exceed scheduled times.
2. Unloading products from trailers using hand carts and placing them in designated customer storage areas, often in all weather conditions.
3. Handling products weighing between 1-75 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, including lifting, pushing, and moving items.
4. Verifying deliveries with customers, obtaining signatures, and communicating any discrepancies or errors.
5. Responding to customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
6. Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.

Minimum requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Additional physical requirements include repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing up to 100 pounds and reaching up to 72 inches for stacking pallets. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is also required.

Preferred qualifications:

• At least 1 year of customer delivery experience.
• 6 months of experience with hand carts or hand trucks.
• 6 months of food and beverage industry experience.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
