Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver in Utah. You will run daily routes with frequent stops, loading and unloading product, and verifying deliveries with customers. You may assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties as assigned.

The role requires lifting 40–100 lbs, compliance with DOT rules, and occasional overtime including weekends and holidays. Strong customer relations skills are important for success.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Pass employment screening.
• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets Company standards.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway signs.
• Touch freight: lift 40–60 pounds on average, up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Overtime, weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Preferred: 1 year customer delivery experience.
• Preferred: 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Move product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions; lift up to 100 pounds.
• Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain signatures; contact management for discrepancies.
• Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
