Job summary

Sysco Corp. in Appleton, WI is seeking a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop under the guidance of the Transportation Department Manager.

The role operates in a cross-dock model and may require returning the empty truck to the loading lot at day’s end. Occasional assistance with loading, palletizing, and other duties may be requested by a Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) required.
• Proficiency in English to communicate with customers and read invoices.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
• Unload product from trailer by hand or with a hand cart, placing it in customer storage areas; may include moving pallets.
• Lift 40–100 pounds repeatedly; stack/unstack pallets up to 72 inches; bend/twist during loading and unloading.
• Verify delivery with customers and obtain signatures; communicate errors/returns.
• Handle shorts and customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
