Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking safety‑conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for the Kansas City to Wichita route. Drivers are home daily with weekends off, and will transfer freight, hook and unhook trailers, and complete required paperwork per DOT rules and company policies.

We offer a Monday-Friday schedule with a 12am start, a $361.94/day flat rate plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Join us to hitch on and prosper with CCFS in Kansas City, KS.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI in past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable).
• Successful completion of pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and accompanies shipment to delivery point.
• Operate tractor-trailer for extended periods over long distances.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
