CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Drivers for a Monday–Friday schedule, starting around midnight from Kansas City to Wichita. Our drivers are home daily with weekends off and enjoy steady routes and reliable equipment.

Requirements include valid Class A CDL, at least 21, 1 year of commercial driving experience, no DUI/DWI in 3 years, and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain.

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable).
• No DUI/DWI in past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between locations as instructed by dispatch.
• Ensure shipping documentation is ready for DOT inspection and accompanies shipments.
• Operate tractor-trailer for long distances.

Job Summary

This position requires transferring freight to specified locations in a timely manner, hook and unhook commercial trailers, and complete all paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures/policies. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of commercial driving experience
• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.
• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
