Job summary

Metro Asphalt & Concrete LLC in Detroit, MI is seeking CDL-A Laborers to join our crew. You will transport equipment and products to and from job sites and assist the foreman with general labor tasks at restoration projects.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, ability to lift 50 pounds, pass drug screens and a background check, and willingness to work overtime in all weather conditions. DOT regulations must be followed, and MVR will be reviewed prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience preferred, but not required.
• Valid CDL-A License.
• Satisfactory driving record (MVR check will be conducted prior to hire).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, squat and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends, and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and products to and from job sites following DOT requirements.
• Assist foreman and team with restoration of asphalt and concrete.
• Perform concrete forming, pouring, finishing and stripping tasks.
• Operate hand-tools or power tools as needed.
• Support crew with other tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
