Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Company Driver for Houston to operate commercial trucks and meet delivery schedules.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, load/unload cargo, and securely manage loads while maintaining logs and delivering to customers with a focus on service quality. Candidates must be 21+, hold a Class A CDL with 6 months of recent verifiable experience, have a clean driving record, and no DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with 6 months verifiable experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with no DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads.
• Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance).
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
