Job summary

FiberTel, LLC in Sparks, NV is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely transport materials and operate construction equipment at the Sparks/Reno location.

You will load and unload equipment, trench and grade, transport materials, and follow all on-site safety procedures and DOT regulations.

This full-time hourly position requires a CDL Class A, a clean driving record, and a strong focus on quality and safety; compensation is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Experience operating heavy machinery and various construction equipment.
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in 5 years).

Responsibilities

• Operate all heavy machinery in a safe manner.
• Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact & level earth to grade specifications.
• Transport materials and equipment.
• Load & unload equipment and material as needed.
• Follow all on-site safety procedures.
• Ensure contents & equipment are properly secured during transportation.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and rules.
• Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and JHA.
