Qualdoc in Kansas City, MO is seeking CDL-A drivers to support railroad emergency response and heavy equipment operations. This hands-on role involves transporting equipment to job sites, operating heavy machinery when qualified, and assisting with railroad recovery and track work.

Driving accounts for about 10% of the job; the role requires physical labor and flexibility for emergency responses, with substantial overtime and on-call duties. A full benefits package is provided.

Formación

• CDL-A license required with clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs.
• Experience in construction labor or physically demanding roles.
• Ability to operate standard construction equipment safely.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls any time.
• Willingness to travel for local and out-of-area assignments.
• Pass required qualification tests and safety programs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and company procedures.
• Drive tractor-trailers to job sites and verify permits for oversized loads.
• Load/unload and stage equipment for railroad recovery and construction.
• Operate heavy equipment when qualified (cranes, backhoes, excavators, etc.).
• Assist with crane operations, rigging, and rail maintenance.
• Participate in safety briefings and daily work planning.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; report mechanical issues.
• Respond to emergency assignments with 24/7 availability.
