Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a CDL A Hazmat Driver in Newton, NC. The role offers a pay rate of $25.00 - $31.00 per hour with an additional $0.61 per mile. Schedule is Monday through Friday with an 8:00 PM start time, weekends off.

You will transport goods safely, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation while communicating with dispatch and customers. Requirements include 22+ years of age, valid CDL-A with HazMat, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, and 1 year of CDL experience

Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement required.
• CDL-A license with HazMat.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR.
• 1 year CDL experience (past 3 years).
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (past 3 years).
• No DUI or serious violations (past 5 years).

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

As a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.

A Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat is responsible for transporting goods safely, efficiently, and professionally while supporting the movement of products throughout the supply chain. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Successful Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat candidates understand vehicle operation, transportation regulations, and defensive driving practices while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting delivery schedules.
