As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a flatbed truck, or tractor and flatbed trailer. This role involves loading, securing, and unloading cargo, as well as adhering to transportation regulations and ensuring the integrity of the transported items. CDL drivers play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain by delivering a variety of goods, including oversized or unconventional loads.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safe operation of tractor/trailer
• Secure cargo using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent shifting during transit
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Compliance with all regulations
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly
• Maintain communication with supervisor, sales, and customers as required
• Perform equipment maintenance, including required pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain all daily records, HOS, DVIR, proof of deliveries, and fuel receipts

Physical & Work Requirements

• Physically able to secure loads with chains
• Physically able to protect loads with tarps
• Maintain continuous communication with different departments and our transportation network
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, moderately stressful, constantly changing environment

Required Background, Competencies & Expertise

• Valid Commercial Driver's License with appropriate endorsements
• Valid Medical Card
• Excellent driving record
• Familiarity with relevant transportation regulations and safety standards
• Physical fitness to lift, carry, and secure heavy and oversized loads
• Knowledge of securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Accountability, Safety, Integrity, Trust, Responsibility

Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise

• 2 years of driving experience
• 1 year of flatbed experience
