Job summary

State Utility Contractors, Inc. is hiring full-time CDL Class A Flatbed and Dump Truck Drivers to support our pipeline construction crews around Monroe, NC. Experienced drivers comfortable with manual transmission are invited to apply.

You will perform safety inspections, operate trucks, comply with DOT rules, and assist crews on site. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a 100% employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Must be able to operate a manual-transmission commercial truck.
• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Flatbed and/or dump truck experience preferred.
• Construction or heavy civil experience is a plus.
• Must have a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
• Safely operate flatbed and dump trucks, including manual-transmission vehicles
• Follow all DOT requirements, traffic laws, and company safety policies
• Haul construction materials, equipment, pipe, and supplies to and from job sites
• Assist construction crews when trucks are not actively being used
• Maintain assigned trucks and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Work as part of a team and assist wherever needed on the job site
