Job description

We are looking for a Straight Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate with a CDL A license to join our Rialto, California-based team!

Straight Truck Driver with a CDL A Flatbed Driver / Warehouse Associate

Reporting directly to the DC Warehouse Manager, the Straight Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate will serve different functions on a day-to-day basis within our distribution warehouse, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have great flexibility and possess a team-oriented approach. The main duties will be delivering our goods utilizing a 26-foot straight truck, and will also work in our warehouse, either loading or unloading trucks daily. This Driver may also cover for other drivers as needed and must possess a CDL A license with a clean record.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Straight Truck Driver

  • Ensure safe delivery and pick up of products and equipment. Safety first!
  • Climbing on and off flatbed trailers, re-tarping product if necessary.
  • Abide by all Federal and local laws.
  • Responsible for taking care of & maintaining all assigned equipment and products.
  • Maintain DOT compliance with logbook, vehicle, and vehicle operation.
  • Make deliveries on schedule.

Warehouse

  • Loading & unloading pipe from flatbed trucks.
  • Operate forklift to pick up and transport heavy inventory around the warehouse.
  • Climbing on and off flatbed trailers.
  • Maintain forklift by completing preventive maintenance. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs through the relevant channels.
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
  • Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned, organized, and that all safety procedures are being followed.
  • Inspect all products being shipped and received, reporting defective or damaged items.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager, which may include driving a 53’ truck to fill in as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Possesses a current CDL A license and has been actively driving during the past year.
  • Clean driving record; no DUI/DWI convictions in the past ten years; no more than three violations occurring in the last three years.
  • Minimum of one year of verifiable commercial driving experience, with flatbed experience preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and random drug screening.

Abilities

  • Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a distribution warehouse environment.
  • This position requires considerable physical activity, including standing for prolonged periods, reaching, bending repeatedly, lifting, pushing, and pulling safely up to 50 pounds.
  • Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23-$25 / hour + overtime (50-60+ hours a week)
