Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Rialto, CA is seeking a Class A CDL driver for local, home-daily routes. You will inspect your tractor–trailer, verify orders, and position for loading while documenting drive time, breaks, and receipts to meet safety and compliance standards.

You’ll transport concrete pipe to customer sites, maintain logs, and follow DOT rules. This role offers a stable schedule Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday flexibility, overtime and bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• DOT medical card; pass background, MVR, drug test, and DOT physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport concrete pipe to customer and job-site locations.
• Verify orders against shipment documentation before departure.
• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections; report mechanical or safety issues to in-house mechanics.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles; retain fuel and toll receipts.
• Comply with ICC and DOT rules (size, weight, routes, parking, and breaks) and company policies.
• Maneuver into tight loading and unloading positions.
• Collect and confirm delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations promptly.

A day in the life

Start your shift at our Rialto yard, review your route, and walk your tractor–trailer flatbed for a thorough safety check. You confirm orders, position for loading, and prepare to move reinforced concrete pipe to nearby job sites. With a rig rated for at least 80,000 lbs GVW, you navigate local routes, communicate with dispatch, and keep meticulous logs of drive time, breaks, and receipts. You return home daily — rain or shine — proud to support critical infrastructure across Southern California.

Role highlights

What you’ll need

• DOT Medical Card and current CDL
• Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday flexibility
• ***Must pass Pre-employment Physical and drug test.
