Rouse Trucking in Tallahassee, FL is hiring experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers to haul building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight. Drivers typically run east of I-35 with paid loaded and empty miles and enjoy home time every 7–14 days with a 34–48 hour reset.

Assigned equipment includes Peterbilt 567/579 tractors (2020–2025) with both automatic and manual transmissions and 2024 48-foot flatbed trailers. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for solo drivers.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years.
• Minimum 6 months of flatbed experience.
• Tarping and load securement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pay: $1,700 to $1,800 per week

Southeast flatbed lanes and consistent regional scheduling give CDL-A drivers a practical setup for steady freight movement and regular time at home.

Rouse Trucking is hiring experienced flatbed drivers to haul building materials, pipe, coils, and similar freight. The primary running area is generally east of I-35, with loaded and empty miles paid.

The Work

• Tarping needed on approximately 3 out of 5 loads
• Load securement is part of the regular work
• Additional $30 on every load, whether tarping is required or not

Earnings

• 70 CPM with loaded and empty miles paid
• Weekly earnings of $1,700 to $1,800
• Additional $30 paid on every load
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for solo drivers

Schedule

Drivers are home every 7–14 days for a 34–48 hour reset. The regional operating area and established freight network provide a practical balance between time on the road and scheduled home time.

Assigned Equipment

• Assigned 2020 through 2025 Peterbilt 567 and 579 tractors
• Automatic and manual transmission options available
• 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers
• Trucks governed at 70 MPH

Drivers may take their assigned truck home when they have a safe place to park it. Regular maintenance helps support dependable operation and reduce downtime.

Getting Started

Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks while drivers become familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations.

Rider & Pet Options

Drivers may bring one pet. There are no breed or weight restrictions, and cats are allowed.

One passenger is permitted with the required liability form and must be at least 10 years old.
